Eye Exercise for Healthy Eyesight

Why ?
I want to have a perfect eyesight !!!!
I have myopia (-2) and I don't like wearing glasses
My eyes get dry wearing contact lenses
I don't want to get a LASIK surgery, actually I'm terrified of the idea of opening my cornea and shooting a laser beam directly at my eyes.

So......... I'm going to do the Eye Exercises
The books I've read say that it works and the Eye association / Eye doctors don't want to acknowledge it because they'll be out of job
My Eye doctors told me that Eye exercises don't help in reducing myopia, etc

okay... I don't really know the difference between an Optometrist and an Ophthalmologist...hence "Eye doctor" ;p
wait.... just looked it up
Ophthalmologist is an eye specialist for medical and surgical problems
Optometrist is concerned with eyes and related structures, as well as vision, visual systems, and vision information processing in humans.

back to Eye exercises ----- so which one is it ?
Does it work ?
I'm going to find out for myself !!

How
I'm just going to do the exercises I found in an eye exercise book.
I'll modify it a little to suit me more ;p
and we'll see how it goes
(Any eye exercise book will have similar eye exercises instructions, just get 1 or 3)

- Daily Eye exercises
Of course....
I'll have to balance it with :
- Resting my eyes more - Less TV, Less computer
and when I do watch TV/use the computer, I need to rest my eyes every 30-60 mins or so.
- Eating right - No refined sugar would be ideal, start with Less sugar (desserts, biscuits, jam, cakes, bread, etc), less fried stuff and refined flour too

We'll see how it goes
